City of New Orleans Utility Assistance

New Orleans hosts a two-day facility assistance event

A firm notice for November that it still won’t do it justice because people have other bills to pay as well. City Council received information from ENTERGY about interruptions in service to customers and the number of people behind the bills of all these people, as people continue to struggle to pay these high bills WDSUOY from US company ELI Replay of the meeting that just concluded will tell us how the city is helping people get On these bills paid ELI. Well, one place they got help from today’s travelers was in New Orleans East Joe Brown Park where the city actually gave two million dollars to help the people behind those bills the utility to get those bills paid a lot of the people I talked to. Tell me if it doesn’t. They have a lot of concerns that those lights might eventually go out. I can’t do it, it’s not in any way possible that my veins haven’t been cut off yet, but they’ll be close. They will be. I do not know what to do. I have children at home. This depends on me to make sure TANISHA BROWNFIELD is paid in and over $600 energy bill for JOE BROWN PARK. It was one of dozens in line. She says the people in line on Thursday are just a small snapshot of many of the battles in Crescent City. The reaction is how many foods I see here. To get some of us and we have to get help a long time ago before IDA, you know, it has to be some kind of help going on. I mean now, all we can do is hope and pray that something happens to keep the lights on isn’t the only problem people have with one woman until she was brought in over 10,000 water bills. I am a single mother. I’m actually not even working at the moment, but I’m an entrepreneur. I mean, how can I pay $10,000 on top of a rent city council that has already approved ENTERGY’s approval to turn off the power due to not being able to pay until November 1st, but for some of those people they might as well have paid it then right now. I’m in a no-win situation unless I’m able to have good health. The city has already received a list of the residents behind those invoices from the companies report

The facility assistance event started on Tuesday and ended on Wednesday at the Jo Brown Recreation Center. On Wednesday morning, people had already lined up outside for help hours before the event began. On Thursday, those streaks were longer. To receive utility assistance, tenants had to provide a utility account number so the city could make late payments on the account. Payment was made directly to the service provider.
